Mel Zhu is a product designer with experience ranging from fintech to multimillion dollar biotech devices. She began her journey in NGOs, then self taught herself to graphic design and became a creative lead in the science world. She has launched products to market in B2B and B2C companies.
As a designer she brings critical process thinking, a detailed eye of reading between the lines, and enthusiasm. Her ethos is: "always learning." She is a big picture thinker who is looking to work with a team that likes to advocate for the best (and often, not easiest) solutions. If you are a part of that team, then she will fit in perfectly.
As a person she is an avid rock climber, photographer, yogi, backpacker, scuba and free diver. In January 2021 her Tiny Love Story was published in the New York Times Sunday edition. You can read it here.
